Ayurvedic Thai massage originates from India, developed by the Ayurvedic doctor Jivaka Kumarbhaccha, the doctor of Buddha Gautama who is said to have transmitted Ayurveda to Thailand.
Ayurvedic Thai massage intervenes at the level of the emotional state, blood and energy circulation, body alignment, as well as the health of body tissues. We work on the meridians where vital energy circulates ( sen or nadis lines , in Sanskrit) and the vital points ( marmas ) using a benevolent touch ( metta ) and multiple maneuvers, adapted to the doshas . Mobilizations, passive yoga postures and pressure by weight transfers make up the originality and power of this age-old treatment.

1. Assessment and pulse taking

The therapist questions the person about their current situation, assesses their general state of health as well as the functioning of their meridians ( nadis ) and vital points ( marma ). He takes the pulse to better understand the state of being and the issues of the moment.

2. Ayurvedic Thai massage and therapeutic treatments

The beneficiary remains dressed, sits and lies on the ground, on a mattress. We then proceed with appropriate care, which varies depending on the needs of the person and/or the doshas in imbalance. The therapist uses their hands, feet, elbows and knees, performs pressures, mobilizations, passive yoga postures and other maneuvers, employed with the aim of restoring the harmonious flow of energy and positively affecting the tissues bodies as well as their alignment.
3. Additional exercises and actions
When time permits and depending on the situation, the therapist can also suggest exercises or postural corrections which allow the therapeutic process to continue at home, which helps to achieve the set objectives. Recommended yoga postures and even some lifestyle advice can also complement the body care provided during Ayurvedic Thai massage.
